It’s been a busy week in the Ag Dept. So far this week we’ve installed our new chicken coop, washed goats, mowed our goat pasture, been working with goats for show season, held a food science practice, worked on drafting our agriscience fair papers, started state fair displays, hung our new greenhouse sign, and submitted our national chapter award!

With nearly 150 members and guests in attendance, our Laurel FFA Banquet & Silent Auction was an incredible success! Thank you to all of the donors, family members, supporters, students, alumni, and school faculty who helped make the evening possible. Your support of our program means so much.

Congratulations to all of our degree recipients, award winners, and newly elected officers. We are also incredibly thankful for the State FFA Officers who joined us for the evening, and especially to Laurel alum and National FFA Officer, Joey Nowotny, for returning home to celebrate with us. It was an honor to recognize Joey with a greenhouse sign dedicated in his honor — a lasting reminder of the impact he has made on our chapter and community.
