Thank you to the City of Laurel - Government, Laurel Main Street, and all the other sponsors who are helping make this happen!

🎆 Laurel’s Independence Day fireworks are still a go, just at a new location! Construction at Sawmill Square may have closed the mall site, but Mayor Johnny Magee, Laurel Main Street, and generous community sponsors have relocated the show to the library parking lot at Carroll Gartin Blvd. & Spec Wilson Blvd. The display begins at July 3rd at 9 PM, so bring a blanket or lawn chair and celebrate under the stars.

The 41st Annual Sertoma Christmas Parade will be on Friday night Dec. 1st, 2023 at 7 PM.
This years parade theme is "A Mississippi Christmas".
The parade route will be altered a little but only at the end of the route. The parade will be going down W. 5th Street in front of First Baptist church instead of going down Sawmill Rd. through the round-about. Attached is a map with a blue line representing the route. 🎉 A huge thank you to the Jones County Board of Supervisors for proclaiming May as Better Hearing and Speech Month in our county! 🎉 Our club is dedicated to helping those in need of hearing aids, spending $10,000 to $20,000 annually to make a difference in our community.

A special shoutout to board President Johnny Burnett, Sertoma Secretary Steve Thrash, board CAO/attorney Danielle Ashley, and Sertoma Historian Wayne Myrick for being present at the proclamation reading. 🙌
