A Story of Recovery & Redemption
There are some pieces that never really fall apart.
They may get worn, faded, and marked by years of waiting and hoping…
but underneath it all, they remain steady.
This old sofa reminded us of a grandmother’s love.
Strong. Dependable. Present.
The kind of love that stays awake praying through long nights.
The kind that answers the phone no matter the hour.
The kind that stays firm through chaos, yet never stops believing redemption is possible.
So often, recovery stories focus only on the person being restored.
But behind many stories of healing is someone who quietly carried hope for years —
a grandmother, a mother, a friend — someone who kept loving while waiting for restoration to come.
This sofa had good bones.
Sturdy. Lasting. Worth saving.
So instead of throwing it away, we restored it.
We chose joyful colors for a new season — not to erase the past, but to honor what stayed faithful through it all.
Recovery can look like that too.
Not pretending the hard years never happened…
but allowing grace to create beauty where pain once lived.
Sometimes the most beautiful part of redemption
is the person who stayed.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time."
Ecclesiastes 3:11
