We exist to assist in dismantling an anti-Bla
ck racist system that was deliberately designed to keep us enslaved and at a disadvantage for hundreds of years after physical slavery was “abolished” in a country that was literally built on the backs of our ancestors through blood, sweat and tears. This was calculated by white people with precision and done with the full intention and purpose of building wealth off of Black labor, stifling the Black intellect and creative mind, and with expressed intent to stop us from taking our place on the world stage, and instead leave us underprivileged, undereducated, impoverished, crime cultured and incarcerated, and left to become an enemy to ourselves. Our immutable response is to spearhead the Black Lives Matter Movement’s ongoing fight against oppression, systemic racism, white supremacist ideology, and state sanctioned police brutality against and killings of Blacks in Maryland and beyond. was founded by Maryland resident Mark Fisher, who also serves as the organization’s Executive Director and is the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island (BLM RI) and is responsible for Black Lives Matter executives throughout New England. is a registered and recognized IRS IRC 501(c)(3) status tax-exempt nonprofit corporation operating in Maryland and is not affiliated with any other Black Lives Matter Movement.
