Quick clean up of. Few pine trees that fell across the Laurel Creek Trail. Met a few folks out enjoying the trail.

We recently attended the Johnson County COG (Community Organizations and Groups) Networking Session at the Mountain City / Johnson County Community Center and it was truly an inspiring opportunity to meet with other nonprofits and government organizations and learn what projects everyone is working on.

We all engaged in brainstorming, and mutual support of each other's ideas, it was the definition of synergy. If you have a small business, nonprofit, advocacy group or government office, you should consider attending.

Come out and see us at the Rib-Fest, so many great vendors, nonprofits, and of course food!!

We are very excited to announce we are the recipients of continued financial support from the East Tennessee Foundation as we repair and expand the Laurel Creek Trail between TN and Virginia. In the not too distant future we hope to have the ability to connect with the Virginia Creeper Trail and Damascus, VA!

Ethan and John from Arete Engineers surveyed the 3/4 mile from the end of the Laurel Creek Trail to the Virginia Creeper Trail today with our President Philip. We think we have found a few viable options for a route which may include reusing the original roadway bridge abutments. Stay Tuned!!
