Good evening, everyone!
I just wanted to share a brief update about Project Prom, which has served students from Laughlin, Bullhead City, Kingman, and the surrounding areas these past 3 years.
It’s been such a joy to meet and support so many amazing students across our beautiful tri-state community. What started out in my own garage grew into something truly special — from our time in the old Bee’s Laundromat, to last year’s prom season where we were welcomed into the back of Laughlin Impact through the kindness of Kent Divich.
My original hope was to eventually bring Project Prom into each high school so students could shop more privately — but sometimes plans change, and that’s okay. Impact has decided to carry on the mission of what Project Prom started and grow it even further. All past donations are going to remain with Laughlin Impact and will continue to serve local students — not under the name Project Prom, but absolutely with the same heart, passion and purpose.
While I (Bee) won’t be running Project Prom anymore, I’ll still be helping students in new ways. You may see me now and then asking for support for other projects that I’ll be doing separately and independently from Laughlin Impact.
I want to sincerely thank all the individuals and businesses who have supported us along the way — Dress for Success, Phoenix, Target, Cinderella’s Closet NJ (Rhonda & team!), Renaissance Realty Laughlin, Western State Design, Bella’s Cosmetics (NaKisha Flores), Desert Palm Weddings (Richard Palm), Impact, and so many others.
It’s been an incredible journey — a little bittersweet for me — but my heart is full seeing how our community continues to grow in love and support for our students each year.
Any parents or students in need of outfits for their special events please direct those requests to Impact or ask a teacher or counselor for guidance.
With so much gratitude,
Bee 🐝
