Pets & Pals Pets & Pals is a nonprofit adoption center committed to the welfare, care, and humane treatment of animals. ❤️🐾
📍 Lathrop, CA This is not your typical shelter.

We sit on a few acres of landscaped, manicured land that houses state of the art dog kennels that are complete with heated floors. Dogs can choose to be on the inside or outside sections of their large, open kennels. There are four play yards that our guests enjoy on a daily basis (two of which even have pools!), and the dogs are treated with attention, chew toys, blankets, and treats. Their runs are always kept as clean as possible. Our feline residents enjoy a "kitten room" for the rambunctious babies, and large indoor/outdoor cat houses that have heating and air for our "older" kitties. We are open by appointment if you see something you like.

If anyone wants to do DNA testing, a reminder that on our webpage all the way down under “Sponsors” there is a link to purchase a test. Some of the proceeds will go back to us, so it is a win-win! There is also a test that tells you of any allergies your pet may have. We sure love seeing all your photos! Website is: www.petsnpals.org

Meet Rocky & Austin! 🎃🐾

Rocky, a Doberman/Shepherd mix, has been waiting 291 days, while Austin, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pittie mix, has been waiting an incredible 467 days! ❤️

Both boys are sweet, playful, and love running around the yard and splashing in the pool! They’re smart and still working on their training, but would thrive with a loving family. 🏡

They’ve waited long enough, could you be the family they’ve been waiting for? ❤️ Visit our website to learn more and apply today!

Meet Scooby!🤎

Scooby has been at our shelter for over a year. He came to us in June of 2025. He was discovered abandoned at a fairground and was ready to go home with anyone who paid attention to him. He’s a very affectionate boy and a true gentlemen in the making, ready to “sit” when asked and gently take his treat. Scooby still has all the playful energy of a puppy and he’d love a family who can help him continue to grow into the magnificent dog he’s destined to be. If you’re interested in adopting this boy go to our website to learn more and apply today!

Meet Emu!🖤

Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and can spend significantly longer waiting for their forever homes?

For the month of October, we’re shining the spotlight on Emu! 👻🖤

Emu has been waiting patiently at our shelter since October 22, 2025 — nearly an entire year. Born on March 27, 2025, this handsome boy is still so young and has his whole life ahead of him.

Emu was abandoned by his previous owner, but despite everything he’s been through, he hasn’t let it dim his sweet, friendly spirit. He’s ready to leave shelter life behind and find the loving family he deserves. 🥹

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who is eager to be part of a family, Emu just might be your perfect match. ❤️

Visit petsnpals.org to learn more about Emu and submit an adoption application today! 🐾

Happy October 1st!👻

Meet Bruno!🧡
Bruno is a pit mix who weighs a sturdy 45 lbs. He is looking for a new crew because his previous family realized they just didn’t have the time to train this boy. He just needs a dedicated leader to teach him some proper house manners. He is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle, and he gets along with some dogs but he can be picky! If you’re interested in meeting this handsome guy go to our website to learn more and apply today!🎃

Meet Bob!🥺

This little man is likely a poodle mix but he is currently shaved down due to the horrible state of his coat when he came to us. Someone who had him likely had never groomed him, which his coat type requires. He was dumped at the shelter and when we found him he was shaking in his crate. Based on his teeth, he appears to be around 2 years of age. We don’t know anything about him other than he’s a sweet boy who just wants love. If you’re interested in meeting this handsome man go to our website to learn more and apply today!🖤
