Why? Because it’s the start of early voting here in New York. Voters can visit any of their assigned Early Voting Centers in their county, except in New York City, where voters are assigned to one early voting site 🗳️

NYSUT stands with our labor family in the New York State AFL-CIO and beyond in our support of Cait Conley for NY-17.

A West Point graduate and Army veteran, Cait Conley has served our nation in its armed forces and in Washington on the National Security Council. Conley believes in increasing access to affordable childcare, expanding career and technical education programming for students and capping interest rates on federal student loans. As a fierce advocate for public schools, she has pledged to fight the federal voucher scheme.

This past weekend, NYSUT members, staff and leaders came together in Albany for the annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Capital Region walk.

Across the state, members continue to raise money and awareness for this important cause and we're always thrilled to see the way these events bring people together to create a positive difference in our communities.

This weekend, labor was out in full force to support Cait Conley for NY-17!

Thank you to everyone who came through and volunteered their time, including members of the New York State AFL-CIO, UFT - United Federation of Teachers , 32BJ SEIU, Communications Workers of America, New York State Nurses Association, Professional Staff Congress/CUNY and more. Together, we are helping ensure pro-public education, pro-labor candidates are elected to public office.

Whether it’s taking our statewide advocacy to the halls of power, hosting and attending conferences and meetings across New York, or helping to support pro-public education candidates for public office, our Daytime Army is doing the work each and every day.
