The NYSTA Board Visits Cornell University!

The NYSTA Board recently had the opportunity to visit Cornell University for an inspiring day focused on turfgrass research, education, and the future of our industry.

Our visit included tours of the Cornell Turf Research facility, golf course, and sports fields, providing a firsthand look at the research and innovative practices taking place across campus. We also had the opportunity to meet with Dean Houlton, Associate Dean Julie Suarez. & Associate Dean Sharon Detzer to discuss the important role of turfgrass research, education, and industry collaboration.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with Cornell faculty and professionals, learn more about ongoing research, and see how the work being done today is helping shape the future of New York’s turfgrass industry.

A big thank you to everyone at Cornell who welcomed the NYSTA Board and shared their time and expertise! 🌿⛳🏫

Harm from ticks is growing across New York State. Cornell University is conducting a survey to understand what pest management professionals think about:

Ticks and tickborne diseases
Pest management companies’ role in controlling ticks.
