Events like Night on the Tarmac is how stories like William’s begin.

William didn’t set out to become an aircraft mechanic. He was working fast food, looking for something better, when an opportunity at The Warbird Factory changed his path.

Today, he’s a paid A&P apprentice learning critical skills like sheet metal work and helping restore the B-25 Old Glory. He’s gaining real experience, working alongside mentors who care deeply about passing their knowledge on, and building a future in aviation preservation.

This is why Night on the Tarmac matters.

Events like this help fund workforce development, mentorship, and hands-on training—creating real pathways for the next generation to carry aviation history forward.
