Good animals are worth their weight in gold💛
and excuse Secret’s hair she woke up and chose to immediately roll after a bath and to rub her head on a log🤦🏼‍♀️

So many things to unpack in this picture, at first you might look at it and see a boy wearing open toed shoes snd no helmet, or you might see a “unsafe” way of riding without a saddle…. but if you look a little deeper you might begin to see a boy learning to be a man, learning to face some fears and rise to a challenge in the midst of adversity.
He didn’t have the proper shoes or a helmet, there was not an easy way to get on the horse and no saddle for comfort, but he did it anyway. He jumped on the horse and rode on while holding a sword (yes it is fake) and then threw the sword through the loop, and he made it! To give some context the boys had to hop on the horse, take off running on him with the sword in one hand, and then throw the sword through the loop to complete the task. Its hard, maybe a little silly, you might ask why would you have them do this?
I like to ask why not? life is messy and full of challenges that do not always fall into our perfect plan or “rules” sometimes an act of courage or bravery makes the differece between saving someone, or finding out who they are, who God called them to be.
our famous “Gator” the leopard appy has given so many kids the confidence to rise to the challenge and overcome! The chance for boys to feel like men and to gain important skills.
Thank you God for your creation and the power to teach us💛

Please read about Joshua and his call to missions this summer

Hello everybody! My name is Joshua Bartolotto, and I am a sophomore in college at the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). Over the past two years, I have joined many
organizations like the Occupational and Physical Therapy club, the Men’s Volleyball Club
Team, and Cru, a Christian ministry on campus. I have built many friendships and connections
while pursuing my goal of becoming a physical therapist, all while furthering my walk with the
Lord and Christian community. Cru has especially been a big part of fostering my faith and
providing genuine Christian friendships.
Cru isn’t unique to UTC. It’s a Christian ministry that has a presence on over 3,500
college campuses across the nation and the world. It’s because of this ministry that I have grown
in my relationship with Jesus Christ and come to desire the spreading of the Gospel.
This summer, I have a fantastic opportunity to take part in one of Cru’s summer missions.
I’m heading to beautiful Anchorage, Alaska, where about 20 other students and Cru staff will
join me in spreading the Good News of Jesus in the Anchorage community and pursuing deeper
relationships with God, all in the setting of the rugged Alaskan wilderness!
Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city, and with that comes diversity and greater
opportunities to meet people’s needs in the name of Jesus. My time on the Alaska Summer
Mission will be focused on exploring Alaska’s cultural landscape and connecting people to Jesus
and Christian community. I’ll be equipped with invaluable spiritual leadership and ministry skills
that I can take with me back to my campus!
In order to make this opportunity possible, I will need a team of ministry partners who
will give to Cru to cover the costs of room and board for the summer, as well as transportation.
All gifts will be earmarked for my summer mission expenses.
By June 12, I will need a total of $4311. Would you be in prayer that I would rely on the
Lord and that I can raise the money needed, or if you feel called to donate an amount that is
comfortable to you. Whatever amount you can give, it will be the right amount. Regardless of
how God leads you to give, please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for this Summer Mission
and head to Alaska.
All gifts are tax-deductible. You can give to my Summer Mission through my personal
Cru giving website https://give.cru.org/1380776.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration and care. I’m grateful to be able to include you in this life changing adventure!

Many of you already know that MCF is expecting a new little helper beginning of June! With that being said, we are asking for understanding if we cannot attend or accommodate the same type of event we might have done in the past for you, or if our availability has changed. All current bookings have nothing to worry about!
With that being said, we are looking to hire a paid assistant for several of our BIG public outreach events we do every summer, as I will be out for awhile 💛
If you or someone you know might be interested in finding out more please do not hesitate to reach out!
