Participatory Strategies is more than a method, it’s a movement.

At The Clemency Project of Nevada, we believe the people closest to the problem are closest to the solution. Through participatory strategies, families and communities step into their power organizing, advocating, and fighting for the freedom of their loved ones.

We turn pain into purpose.
We turn cases into campaigns.
We turn isolation into collective power.

This work is rooted in accountability, dignity, and the unwavering belief that transformation is possible.

No one fights alone.

Statement on Fredrick Benson’s Pardons Board Hearing

On Tuesday, March 17th, Fredrick Benson appeared before the Nevada Board of Pardons Commissioners seeking relief. While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, we do not view this as a loss.

What was made clear is that there is still a path forward.

The Board has provided guidance, and with that comes opportunity. Fredrick has been given the chance to complete additional programming, strengthen his record even further, and return before the Commissioners for reconsideration. For us, that matters.

We are grateful for the time, consideration, and direction provided by the Board. These moments are not just about outcomes, they are about process, growth, and preparation.

Fredrick has already demonstrated transformation, accountability, and commitment to bettering himself. We remain confident that with continued support and the opportunity to build on that foundation, his next appearance will reflect even more of who he has become.

This is not the end of the road, it is part of the journey.

We stand with Fredrick, and we will continue to do the work alongside him as he prepares to return before the Board of Commissioners.

We wish to thank all of his family, friends, community members and community leaders for your unwavering support and presence!

Our community will usher him into this next phase of his life as he successfully reintegrates. Our path is Onward!!!

Today we celebrate the power of community advocacy and participatory strategies.

Because when families organize, when communities speak up, and when we refuse to give up on the people we love, change happens.

Through collective advocacy, strategy, and the unwavering support of our community, another incarcerated comrade has been granted parole.

🎉 Congratulations Ever! 🎉

This victory is not just about one person. It is a reminder that people are more than the worst thing they have ever done and that transformation, accountability, and redemption are real.

To everyone who wrote letters, showed up, spoke out, prayed, and stood with us — this victory belongs to you too.

Together we will continue the work until more families are reunited and more freedom is restored.

✊🏾 When we fight together, freedom becomes possible.

Court record sealing is vital for post-conviction progression, allowing individuals to omit disclosure of prior incarceration on job and rental applications. Nonetheless, it's critical to understand that sealing records does not reinstate 2nd Amendment rights. This step serves as a foundational move towards restoring full civil liberties. An Unconditional Pardons is the only way to fully restore your gun rights!
