Las Vegas summers are no joke, and our officers are out on the asphalt every single day in triple-digit heat keeping our city safe. ☀️🔥

Through Operation Hydration, the Las Vegas FOP Foundation is building hydration kits to help our men and women in blue stay safe, healthy, and ready to protect. The goal is to fill these kits with essentials like electrolyte packets, cooling towels, sunscreen, protein snacks, and water.

We need your help to make this happen.

Law Enforcement Child Month is a national movement dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and strengthening the children and families of America’s law enforcement community.

We invite departments, agencies, lodges & auxiliaries, organizations, and communities to join us in recognizing their local law enforcement children. Together, we can strengthen law enforcement families nationwide and ensure these children know they are seen, valued, and supported.

Excellence on the job and in competition.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and FOP Nevada Lodge 1 are celebrating Officer Karl Atkinson for his achievements in the Police and Fire Games.

Competing on the national and international stage, Atkinson earned a gold medal in the hammer throw in 2025 for the 45-49 age division, showcasing the dedication, discipline, and perseverance that define both elite athletes and law enforcement professionals.

As he prepares for upcoming competitions in San Diego and Australia, the entire FOP family is proud to cheer him on and support his pursuit of excellence.

Congratulations, Karl, and best of luck in your upcoming events.

A night of competition, teamwork, and community support.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and local fire personnel faced off in the annual Police vs. Fire Charity Football Game, bringing energy and a packed crowd together for a great cause.

The night kicked off in dramatic fashion, with Assistant Sheriff Bryan Peterson arriving via Air Unit to deliver the game coin, followed by the official toss from Undersheriff Andy Walsh.

After a hard-fought game, police secured the win with a final score of 20–14 - but the real victory was the community coming together in support of something bigger.
