WHO'S READY For 2026 WDAA World Show?! is excited to announce we will be awarding official Nevada State Affiliate High Point World Show awards during this year‘s event. To recognize our members' hard work and dedication in making this journey, we’ve set up a system to celebrate excellence across all competing levels. 🏆💙🐴

How it works:🐴
Automatic Entry: If you’re registered for the World Show, you’re already in! No extra paperwork—our volunteers will be tracking your scores throughout the event.

The Scoring: 🧮Awards will be based on the highest cumulative total of your two best scores from traditional classes (Tests 1, 2, 3, or 4). Please note that freestyles, rail classes, and equitation classes do not count toward the High Point award.

The Requirement: 3️⃣/4️⃣To qualify, at least one of those two scores must be from Test 3 or Test 4.

Scoring Adjustments: To ensure an exciting competition for everyone, we are applying weighted percentage points to test scores in levels above Intro:
* Basic: +0.5%
* Level 1: +1.0%
* Level 2: +1.5%
* Level 3: +2.0%
* Level 4: +2.5%
* Level 5: +3.0%

The Awards: 💫🐴🏆
We’ll be presenting an High Point Award to the top rider in each of the following divisions during the closing ceremony: Open, Amateur, Junior, Exceptional Adult Amateur, Exceptional Adult Open, and Exceptional Junior.

We look forward to seeing everyone down centerline in Guthrie, Oklahoma soon. Let’s make this a 2026 WDAA World Show event one to remember! 🐎✨

We had some incredible applications across the Junior, Adult Amateur, and Open divisions, and excited to support these riders in their Western Dressage development through 's annual $250 Ride & Learn educational scholarship fund.

🥰🇺🇸🐴 DID YOU KNOW that principles of horse training that would later influence dressage were present during the American Revolutionary War in 1776? Cavalry units relied heavily on well-trained horses to execute complex maneuvers that required responsiveness and precision, thereby providing a strategic advantage. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸🐴 One notable warhorse from this era was Nelson, General George Washington's loyal chestnut charger, believed to be a Thoroughbred known for his strength and bravery in battle. Another significant horse was Blueskin (a gray), often depicted in art as Washington's trusted companion, thought to be a Thoroughbred or a similar breed.🇺🇸🐴

In 1776, the Thirteen Colonies declared their independence from Britain with the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4. The declaration solidified the colonies' fight against oppression and was crucial for American identity, ultimately leading to the establishment of the United States as a sovereign nation in 1783.

🇺🇸 As we celebrate the nostalgic 250th anniversary and reflect on the courage and commitment of the brave men and women who fought for our country’s freedom in 1776, let’s pay honor to the incredible horses that served alongside them. These noble steeds played a vital role in shaping our country's history. 🇺🇸🗽💫
