Rosie has been part of our Herd Family since 2008. Trained in Western Pleasure and Working Cow Horse, a Ring Bone diagnosis sidelined her career and she became a broodmare, having four babies in five years. She had her fifth and final baby with us in March 2009. Millie is is now living in Oregon.

🤠 Rosie has been an active member of Horses4Heroes, participating in Horse Play, camps, field trips, birthday parties, workshops and riding lessons. Over the past 15 years, Rosie in the Round Pen has introduced more future cowboys and cowgirls to horses than any horse now living in Las Vegas! At 29, Rosie is retired, living at The Ranch and still showing love to the kids who visit. You can visit Rosie this Saturday during Family Farm Days at The Ranch Las Vegas, 10 am to Noon. You can purchase tickets online at horses4heroes.org.

Today, Dec. 13, is the National Day of the Horse! What better way to celebrate than to share the story of our horse, H4HPenny, and her Marine Veteran, Travis. In 2013, Horses4Heroes saved the lives of two pregnant mares who were slaughter-bound. One of them was Penny's mother. We are looking for facilities with safe and sound horses that offer lessons, day camps, birthday parties, and health & wellness workshops, or any of the above.
