Troop 77 of Las Vegas is proud to expand the spirit of Scouting beyond our local community by supporting Chipukizi Troop in Kenya, Africa. Through this meaningful partnership, we are helping provide essential supplies such as tents to support their outdoor program and growth.
This connection is especially close to our hearts, as our Girl Troop Scoutmaster has built personal relationships with the troop through mission trips to Kenya every two years. Her firsthand experiences have given us a deeper understanding of the impact this support can make.
During our leaders IOLS training, we were reminded that Scouting is truly a global movement - something that deeply resonated with our troop. Inspired by that message, we are excited to stand alongside our fellow Scouts across the world.
Fun fact: Scouting founder Sir Robert Baden-Powell is buried in Kenya, making this connection even more special as we honor the global legacy of Scouting.
