Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada We provide emotional support, quality of life programs, and financial assistance for children affected by childhood cancer.

Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada (Candlelighters) is the first and oldest non-profit organization in Nevada serving families coping with childhood cancer. We offer financial assistance, patient advocacy and various programs addressing families’ mental and emotional health needs. We are proud to have helped thousands of families since our inception. Founded over 40 years ago by two families facing childhood cancer.

Camp Firefly is about more than a week away from home. It is about giving kids a chance to be kids, creating new friendships, trying something new, and making memories with people who understand what their families have been through.

We are incredibly grateful to the Olympia Companies SH Charitable Foundation for continuing to support Camp Firefly and the families who make camp so special.

Their generosity helps make these experiences possible for children affected by childhood cancer and their siblings, creating moments of joy that families can carry with them long after camp is over.

Today, Iyara and the incredible team at Southern Highlands Spas hosted a special spa day-camp for Candlelighters families💛 From sound baths and yoga to massages and movement, families had the opportunity to pause, recharge, and prioritize self-care during a time when they truly need it most.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who shared their time, energy, and talents to make this day so special. ✨ We’re grateful for the people and organizations that show our families care, peace, and the power of human connection!

Our annual Halloween Bash on October 22 is a private celebration created for local families with children diagnosed with cancer—a night where kids can dress up, play, laugh, and simply enjoy being kids. 🧡

But we can’t make the magic happen without YOU! 🫵

From set up, to food service, and tear down, our volunteers help bring every spooky, silly, joy-filled moment to life.

The funding received this year from The Bower Fund allow us to provide financial support for children like 8 year old Harlee and her mom who are currently are in Utah - traveling for life saving treatment.
