StallioneSearch BOCO Futurity and Bluegrass Derby Trial Recap Coverage (VIDEO)

StallioneSearch.com begins its webcast coverage from Sandy Ridge Racetrack in Ashland, Kentucky, featuring the trials for the $266,250 BOCO Futurity, as well as the $165,600 Bluegrass Derby.

The opening-day crowd filled the new facility as fans watched horses prepare in the trainer's area, visited local food trucks and gathered along the track to witness the first races over the Sandy Ridge surface.

Sandy Ridge Racing in Ashland, Kentucky, kicked off its inaugural American Quarter Horse meet on Wednesday with six trials for the $125,000-added BOCO Futurity, and the fastest qualifying time was posted by Jorge Antonio Silva’s Shesainnocentpiloto (pictured) in the fourth heat. With Adrian Morales aboard for trainer Jose Estrada, the Louisiana-bred filly by Hes Innocent broke on top and prevailed by a half-length at the wire with a time of :17.645 for 350 yards over a fast track.

Bred by Grant Farms LLC, Shesainnocentpiloto picked up her third straight victory after a two-month break since her last race at Delta Downs. The filly kicked off her winning streak with a win over maiden foes on June 3 at Delta and then returned to the winner’s circle at the Louisiana track after defeating allowance company on June 20. Her record now stands at 5-3-1-0 with earnings of $41,820.

The Flying Cowboy 123 gelding Keep On Rollin 123 won the first trial and posted the second-fastest qualifying time of :17.667 under jockey Martin Munoz. Trained by Ricardo Martinez and owned by Whiting Ranch and Raymond Whitmire, the Indiana-bred earned his second career win after taking a maiden race at Horseshoe Indianapolis in his last start.

The complete list of qualifiers for the September 6 final is as follows: Shesainnocentpiloto (:17.645), Keep On Rollin 123 (:17.667), Nena C (:17.671), Savage Chef (:17.748), Remember Thiz Kiss (:17.821), Relentless Friend (:17.833), Sandy Jess (:17.847), WRS Free Spirit (:17.853), Gold Medalist (:17.862) and Nachos Secret (:17.905).
