Yesterday’s performance of Gospel Greats was a wonderful conclusion to the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society’s 62nd season. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this inspiring afternoon of gospel favorites and powerful spirituals and helped make the concert such a success. 🎶

We were especially honored to welcome Guest Soloist Rob West as part of this special performance, and we are grateful to all who helped make the afternoon so meaningful and memorable. ✨

Yesterday’s dress rehearsal was full of energy and excitement as we made our final preparations for Gospel Greats! After a wonderful season of music-making together, we are thrilled to close our 62nd season with this inspiring afternoon of gospel favorites and powerful spirituals. ✨ Get to know our featured guest soloist: Rob West ✨

Rob West began his musical journey as a member of the renowned San Francisco Boys Chorus, where he performed with organizations including the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony Chorus, and San Francisco Ballet. He later earned degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of the Pacific, the Boston Conservatory, and the University of New Mexico.

In addition to performing with regional companies including The Gilbert and Sullivan Society in Seattle, Renton Civic Theatre, and Opera Las Vegas, Mr. West has dedicated nearly three decades to choral music education and currently serves as choral educator at Clark High School. Throughout his career in education, he has been recognized multiple times as a quarterfinalist for the GRAMMY Music Educator Award and was honored with the Heart of Education Award in 2023.
