Nevada’s UNCF Scholarship Fund
Students will be selected for this scholarship program and granted a $5,000 “last dollar” scholarship award so that they can satisfy any outstanding tuition and fees that may hinder their advancement or graduation once the following criteria is met:
➊ Student must have a permanent address in Nevada;
➋ Student must be a high school graduate entering college, returning to college, or transferring from an accredited community college;
➌ Preference will be given to students enrolled at any of the UNCF member institutions, other historically black colleges or universities (aka HBCUs) or an accredited four year institution within Nevada;
➍ Student must have a minimum grade point average of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
➎ Student must have an unmet financial need as verified by the college or university financial aid office where they are enrolled;
➏ Student must complete the UNCF online application describing extracurricular activities, honors and awards, community service, and interests;
➐ Student has completed their application for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
