Good afternoon everyone,
As the founder, I wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things. Z’s Promise Animal Rescue is still active. However, while I continue to go through some medical issues and family matters that has been going on for a few years now, we have made the conscious decision to step back from new intakes for the time being. This allows us to ensure that when animals are in our care, they receive the attention, resources, and support they deserve without placing additional stress on our volunteers.
With that being said, if you have adopted an animal from Z’s Promise Animal Rescue and need to return them for any reason, it is stated in your adoption contract that we must be notified and the animal must be returned directly to our rescue. The “Send Email” link at the top of the page does work.
Recently, we have had two animals returned after more than six years, and unfortunately in both situations we were not contacted first. Yes, one (Lola) is currently in our possession and we are working with another rescue to help find her the best home possible. We are providing all medical and any adoption donation will be donated to said rescue for their support. The other was just surrendered to another rescue within the last 30mins and we are working this out. While we are currently on an intake hold and have been for some time, we are still accepting returns from our adopters as required by our contract.
Our priority has always been the well-being and safety of the animals we place. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our rescue and respect the commitment made when adopting.
