A huge congratulations to Colin McNaught, a proud Teach For America Nevada alumnus, on being named Nevada’s 2026 Principal of the Year and a finalist for National Principal of the Year.

From joining Southern Nevada classrooms through Teach For America in 2013 to leading Cimarron-Memorial High School as principal, Colin’s leadership reflects the impact educators can have when they lead with a student-first mindset.

We’re proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition and grateful for the example he continues to set for students, educators, and school communities across Nevada.

Something big (like… world record big 👀) is coming to Las Vegas 💛

We’re so excited to be part of The Great Las Vegas Fort Build, a Guinness World Record attempt to build the largest blanket fort ever created!

A huge thank you to Commissioner and for bringing this incredible event to life and for including Foster Kinship in such a meaningful way.

This event is about more than a record, it’s about bringing community together in a creative, meaningful way. Our families will have the opportunity to be part of the experience, connect with others, and take part in something truly unique.

1️⃣ We took a major step in ensuring the long-term stability of our police department by finalizing a new three-year contract with the Henderson Police Officers' Association. This agreement offers our officers leading benefits that keep us competitive with other agencies.

2️⃣ The City of Henderson Police Department is proud to welcome the largest police academy class in its history this month. 57 recruits are beginning their journey to becoming police and corrections officers here in the City of Henderson, with the mission to keep this community one of the safest in the nation. Should each of these recruits complete the next few months of training before graduation, the Henderson Police Department will achieve a ZERO percent vacancy rate! This marks an incredible milestone that is a testament to Mayor and Council's prioritization of our community's safety.
