Today, on the National Day of Service and Remembrance, The Folded Flag Foundation pauses to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the service members who answered our nation’s call in the years that followed.
Twenty-five years later, we remember not only a day that changed our nation forever, but also the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unity that emerged in its wake.
