๐ก "What happens if we wait?"
When your child is missing a milestone, the instinct to give it more time or wonder if you're overreacting is very human.
But here's what the research tells us: the brain is most receptive to language and developmental support in the first three years of life (NIH). Waiting doesn't give children time to catch up on their own. For many children, it widens the gap.
Here's what early intervention actually does:
๐ง Takes advantage of the brain's peak plasticity window โ the earlier support begins, the more impact it has
๐ฃ๏ธ Builds the communication foundation that shapes how children learn to read, connect, and express themselves
๐ค Reduces frustration for children who struggle to make themselves understood
๐ Creates measurable, lasting gains that continue well beyond the therapy itself
We're not saying this to create panic. We're saying it because families who reach out early, even just for a conversation, almost always tell us they wish they had done it sooner.
