A los jóvenes cubanos:

Puede que la libertad esté más cerca de lo que parece.
Y cuando llegue, no vendrá vestida de milagro.
Vendrá cansada.
Golpeada.
Con hambre de escuelas, de trabajo, de verdad… y de abrazos pendientes.

Por eso quiero decirles algo:

No conviertan el futuro en otra guerra entre cubanos.

Este país ya ha sufrido demasiado orgullo.
Demasiados hombres gritándoles a otros hombres cómo deben vivir, pensar o callar. Cuba no necesita nuevos amos. Necesita ciudadanos.

La patria no puede volver a ser un cuartel.
Ni un altar para caudillos.
Ni una finca privada disfrazada de ideología.

La patria tiene que parecerse, por fin, a su gente.

A la madre que pasó años separada de sus hijos.
Al abuelo que envejeció haciendo colas.
Al joven que aprendió a soñar mirando aviones irse.
Al que resistió dentro.
Y también al que tuvo que marcharse llorando.

No importa el color de la piel.
No importa de qué barrio vienes.
No importa siquiera si alguna vez pensaste distinto.

Si amas a Cuba y quieres verla levantarse, ya eres parte de su reconstrucción.

Pero escuchen bien esto:

La libertad no se cuida sola.

Los pueblos también pueden perderla por cansancio.
Por fanatismo.
O por entregarle demasiado poder a quienes prometen salvarlos.

Por eso habrá que defenderla todos los días.
Con trabajo.
Con decencia.
Con memoria.
Y con el valor de decir “no” cada vez que alguien quiera ponerse por encima de la nación.

Que ningún cubano tenga que pedir permiso para prosperar.
Que opinar no vuelva a dar miedo.
Que marcharse no sea la única salida.
Que el talento deje de ser sospechoso.
Y que la dignidad vuelva, por fin, a ser costumbre.

Y cuando llegue el día… porque va a llegar…
no salgan a construir odio.

Salgan a construir un país.

Uno donde los hijos quieran quedarse.
Y donde los que se fueron quieran volver.

Porque al final, Cuba nunca ha sido un gobierno.

Cuba siempre ha sido su gente.

It is music to our ears that Raul Castro may be indicted on May 20th, which happens to be Cuban Independence Day.
With that being said, we urge the Trump Administration to put an end to the 67 year old dictatorship that has adversely affected the lives of millions of Cubans.
The Cuban people do not have the arms to free themselves and the island factor is also an impediment.
The Cuban people have taken to the streets in desperation. There's no fuel, no money, no water, no medicine and no food. People are dying and suffering. The hour of Zero has arrived for the failed Castro Regime.
The time for freedom has arrived. The Cuban people need help now!

On this 65th Anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion which Castro proclaimed as a "Victory for Cuba," may we honor the brave young men who gave their lives and fought to regain the freedom of our country.

I for one, will always make mention to this war as the "Truncated war," the war that the CIA trained cuban exiles to fight and President John F. Kennedy abandoned, ending the dream of freedom for millions of Cubans for decades to come.

After 67 years of a failed Revolution that only brought about the Involusion of a once prosperous country, we appeal to the president of the United States, Donald J. Trump and his State Department under the leadership of Cuban-American Marco Rubio, to finish that mission that the U.S. failed to truly engage in and bring about a real revolution to the island people of Cuba.
The Cuban people have endured 67 years of a brutal repressive, dysfunctional communist regime, one which is leading the island nation into a complete disarray of all things essential.
It is time to end the national security threat that the Castro Regime poses to the United States, allowing Russian and Chinese enemy spy bases and the harboring of international terrorists.
The time for freedom has come, the time for freedom is NOW!

Eternal honor and glory to our Bay of Pigs Veterans dead or alive.
