🐾 Want to make a difference for animals in Southern Nevada? We need YOU!

We are looking for volunteers to help support our spay & neuter and wellness clinics. From preparing surgical packs to helping with laundry, these behind-the-scenes tasks make a big difference in keeping our clinic running smoothly!

Our biggest volunteer need right now is Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 AM to 3 PM, helping with surgical pack preparation and laundry.

Interested in volunteering? Volunteers under 18 are welcome to get involved, but minors cannot handle animals. Have some time to give? We’d love to have you on our team! Ready to get involved? Visit our volunteer page to learn more and apply.

Sometimes a community cat finds exactly where they’re meant to be. 🤎🐾

Meet Noah!

Noah came to us through a local shelter for his vaccines and neuter, with plans to return to the community through TNVR, or Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return.

But during his stay at HCWS, one of our team members noticed something special about him. Noah was incredibly affectionate, social, and very, very chatty. His friendly nature suggested he could thrive in a home with people.

So instead of returning to the community, Noah found his forever home with one of our own.

We love seeing the many ways community cats find their happy endings, and we’re so happy this sweet boy found his. 🤎

Welcome home, Noah!

A milestone worth celebrating. 💙🐾
We have now reached 220,444 spay & neuter surgeries since 2000, and this month we celebrated another milestone of its own with 971 surgeries, our highest month of the year!

Behind every number is an animal who received care, a pet family who got support, a community cat who got a chance at a healthier future, and a team working every day to make prevention possible.

We couldn’t do this without the people who believe in this mission and continue to show up for us in so many ways.
And we’re not done yet. 🐾

Want to help us keep the momentum going? A gift of any size helps us continue providing access to spay & neuter and supporting pets, pet families, and community cats across Southern Nevada.

Thank you for being part of 220,444 and everything that comes next.

Rock, paper, scissors… but make it pet parent edition. 🪨📝✂️🐾

We’ll take the new toy. The fancy treats. The ridiculously expensive bed they’ll probably ignore. All of it.

Those things are, of course, purrfectly fine.

But before you do anything else… spay & neuter.

Because when it comes to preventing surprise litters and helping more pets stay in loving homes, that’s one choice we’ll always pick.

Spay & neuter is cuter. 😻😻
