Pastor John Juedes has arrived safely in Liberia! Rev Kufre-Abasi Etim escorted him to officially join Dr. Victoria Waufle and Rev. Daniel Johnson for the two-week church leader training sessions in the ELCLS Bomi District.

We are overjoyed to see roughly 30 men and 30 women from about a half-dozen local churches gathered together in unity. Over the coming days, they will be studying God's Word and diving deep into what Scripture says about marriage, leadership, and cultural taboos. They will also be collaborating on practical ways to strengthen Sunday School classes for both children and adults.

Please keep these trainers and trainees in your prayers as they equip the church and make God's Word accessible to all!

Dr. Victoria Waufle touched down in Liberia ahead of Pastor John Juedes and jumped straight into action! 🇱🇷💪

She teamed up with Rev. Kufre-Abasi Etim to host an incredible training day for 50 church leaders from the HCC Home and Hope Lutheran School in Joehzon. These young adults are getting ready to impact their community in amazing ways!

The energy was awesome with the rising leaders coming together for joint sessions, special breakout groups, Q&As, and plenty of open discussion. They packed a ton into the day, diving deep into:
• 📖 Word-for-word Bible study
• 🙌 The Names of Jesus
• ❤️ Biblical marriage
• 👑 Biblical leadership

God is doing big things through these young leaders! We thank God for our partners!!

Both trainers are currently in Bomi District facilitating a two-week training for male and female church leaders in this newly birthed and growing ELCLS District. More to come soon.

📻 🚂 GROWING IN KPANDILOE! 🌟 🙌 by Rev. Emmanuel S. Tengbeh
"I bring you a special greetings from Kpandiloe."
God is moving powerfully through the ELCLS Foya District! The people of Kpandiloe have long been calling for the Lutheran church to enter their town after hearing the ARM radio programs—and they are proving just how genuine that hunger is! 📖✨
Look at how God is multiplying this growing congregation:
• Sunday, October 4th: 47 people worshipped in Kandiloe
• Sunday, October 11: The Holy Spirit packed the service with 48 adults and 33 children—totaling 81 persons in worship! 🎉❤️

The work doesn't stop at the church doors. The team has been moving around the town, doing follow-ups, and encouraging everyone they meet to join the service.
Rev. Tengbeh shared a beautiful moment of true servant-leadership from today's outreach:

"I met this woman and called her to join me but she said that she has to finish fixing her rice, but we do everything possible just that we can win as many as we can. I joined her to fix the rice as you can see in the video." 🌾🌾

We do whatever it takes to win as many souls as we can for Christ! Please join us in praising God for the incredible growth and grace pouring over Kpandiloe! 🪵🙏

HOPE LUTHERAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL – JOEHZON
The Baccalaureate Service at Hope Lutheran Senior High School–Joehzon went exceptionally well!

The church was filled with excitement, praises, and celebrations as we gathered to give thanks and glory to God Almighty for the successful journey of our graduating class and to bid farewell to their high school years.

The 6th Graduation Exercise is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. We look forward to another memorable and joyful celebration.

We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Almighty God, Hope and Care Outreach (HCO), Hope and Care for Children (HCC), the school administration, teaching staff, parents, friends, well-wishers, and the entire community for their unwavering support and for the confidence reposed in the HCC leadership and the entire school staff.

This is only the beginning of greater achievements and more celebrations to come. Together, we will continue to demonstrate God’s love with hope and transform lives through Christ-centered education.

To God be all the glory, honor, and praise! 🙏🎓🎉

Hope Lutheran University (HLU) - Land Dedication: Jesus is Our Firm Foundation. We are overjoyed to celebrate a monumental milestone in the history of our ministry—the official land dedication for the future campus of HLU in Joehzon! Attendees gathered to pray, worship, read God's Word, and envision the ground where future Christian leaders will be shaped. Their hearts were anchored in Jesus' words from Luke 6:46-49.

HLU is more than just a project of bricks and mortar; it is a physical testimony of our commitment to hearing and obeying the voice of our Lord. Here is how Jesus’ words directly guide the construction of this campus:

Digging Deep (Luke 6:48): “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.” Before we pour concrete or raise walls, we are digging deep in prayer and alignment with God's word. True Christian education cannot be built on superficial ground; it requires an unwavering foundation in Christ-Centered Identity and Purposeful Empowerment.

Unshakable in the Storms (Luke 6:48): “And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.” The challenges of this world will inevitably beat against our students, families, and communities. By establishing this campus on the absolute truth of Scripture, we are ensuring that the leadership, innovation, and service cultivated here will stand strong against any storm.

Thank you to our faithful donors, partners, and community members whose prayers and support have brought us to this ground. God bless the saints of Messiah Lutheran Church in Highlands, CA!
Please join us in praying over this land as the physical work will soon begin! 🙏🚜

The HCC Homes' mission is to guide children into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

These photos capture the heart of what your prayers and support make possible every single week! Every open book represents a young mind learning to navigate life with the truth of the Gospel. We aren't just providing a safe place to live—together, we are raising up the next generation of disciples!

Thank you for being a vital part of their spiritual journey.

For an expectant mother, uncertainty about the health and safety of her unborn child can be frightening. At Nancy Fayia Medical Clinic, an ultrasound scan can turn that uncertainty into information and information into timely action.

In a recent case, an OB scan revealed that a regular patient at NFMC would need advanced medical intervention rather than a normal delivery. The finding allowed the healthcare team to counsel her and prepare her for further care at JFK.

We pray that as Mom goes to JFK for the operation, God will be with her and her baby, guide the medical team, and grant them a safe and successful delivery.

What began as a medical outreach in Kemah Town soon grew into meaningful personal visits and conversations—and ultimately, the birth of a brand new ELCLS church plant!

On October 4, 2026, Rev. Kufre-Abasi Etim led the very first Lutheran worship service in Kemah Town, joined by five energetic HCC kids.

We truly thank God for this incredible miracle!
