Food Art Challenge Returns With Second Community Showcase in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — The Food Art Challenge, a community event blending culinary creativity with visual design, is returning for its second installment on Aug. 29 at FilAm Central on South Maryland Parkway.

The four‑hour event invites participants to “imagine food, make it artful, and create something delicious,” highlighting both artistic expression and healthy eating. The challenge runs from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to the public with a $10 admission fee that includes goodie bags, raffle entry and snacks.

The event is hosted by Healthy FilAm Nayon, a local group promoting wellness and cultural engagement in the Filipino-American community. Registration closes Aug. 26, according to the group’s website.

Last year’s inaugural challenge drew families, hobbyists and food‑focused artists. Organizers said they expect a larger turnout this year as interest in creative food presentations continues to grow.
