Leaders In Training is proud to introduce Dr. Castillo as our new Executive Director, and new member of the LIT community! With a great amount of education experience and a passionate heart for the community– we’re so excited to have her as part of our organization and see what she has to bring to our program!
“I’m deeply honored to join Leaders in Training (LIT) as Executive Director. With over a decade of experience in K–12 education, college access initiatives, and EdTech, my life’s mission has been to ensure that every young person—especially those blazing a trail as first-generation college students—has the tools, opportunities, and support to achieve their dreams.
That mission is exactly why I feel at home here. LIT’s vision—to empower first-generation students from diverse backgrounds to become the next generation of leaders who dismantle systemic inequities—aligns perfectly with my own.
Every day, I’m inspired by the impact this organization is making: 100% college acceptance, unwavering persistence through graduation, and alumni who are transforming their communities as teachers, medical professionals, public servants, and beyond.
My commitment is simple yet powerful: to champion, grow, and sustain this incredible work so that even more students can write their own success stories—stories that will change the future of our communities.
