Many couples prepare carefully for the wedding day, but fewer prepare intentionally for the financial life that begins after it.
Yet many tensions in marriage are not created by money itself, but by unspoken expectations, different habits, and decisions made without unity.
A healthy financial foundation begins before conflict appears.
Important conversations before marriage should include:
• What debt do we each bring into marriage?
• What priorities matter most to us?
• How do we understand saving, giving, and spending?
• How will we make financial decisions together?
• How do we invite God into these decisions?
Financial stewardship inside marriage is not only practical—it is deeply spiritual.
It teaches trust, patience, humility, and shared responsibility.
And above all, pray before major decisions.
Because when Christ remains at the center, even difficult conversations become part of building something lasting.
