Trauma changes us, but it doesn't have to define us. 🩵

June is dedicated to PTSD Awareness, a time to talk openly about the challenges of trauma and the bravery it takes to seek help. Whether it’s through therapy, community, or self-care, healing is a journey, not a destination.

Let’s lead with compassion this month. You never know what someone is carrying behind their smile.

📞Veterans: Las Vegas Vet Center (702-791-9170) – Confidential peer support and groups for veterans and active duty.
👩🏻‍⚖️Everyone: Resiliency & Justice Center (702-455-2433) – Located at 2915 W Charleston Blvd. They offer free trauma yoga, healing arts, and legal aid for all victims of crime/trauma.
👨🏼‍👩🏽‍👧🏽‍👦🏻Families: NAMI Southern Nevada – Peer mentoring and weekly family support groups (check namisouthernnevada.org for the latest CARES schedule).

Everyone needs help finding their footing when life feels a bit steep. Just remember that you don’t have to climb alone.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, it’s important to remember that mental health doesn't have an "off" switch on June 1st. For many of us, the trail doesn't end just because the month did.

Some days feel like these steady stone steps, manageable and clear. Other days feel like the steep, rocky scramble hidden just around the bend. Both are part of the path. Whether you’re at the base of the mountain or catching your breath at the summit, keep climbing. Your progress isn't defined by a 31 day calendar.

They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, but in Las Vegas, we know that some roads feel like they stretch on forever. 🛣️

Mental health can sometimes feel like this winding road through Red Rock Canyon. There are uphill battles, sharp turns we didn't see coming, and moments where the destination feels just out of reach.

But even on a road that feels "never-ending," you don't have to drive it alone. This year’s Mental Health Month theme is More Good Days, Together. It’s a reminder that even if the road is long, having someone in the passenger seat, a friend, a professional, or a community makes all the difference.

Happy ! 🤝

We are still buzzing from our Working Group Meeting last Wednesday! We want to send a huge Thank You to every community partner who took the time to meet with us at the West Charleston Library.

It was a joy to show off our new 3D model! It gives a clear look at our 2028 vision for the Campus for Hope, and we couldn’t be more excited about the future.

Shoutout to the West Charleston Library for hosting us in such a fantastic space.

It’s , and the stats in Nevada are a wake-up call: 1 in 4 people experiencing homelessness are also battling serious mental illness.

Mental health conditions are often both the cause and the result of losing a home. To break the cycle, we have to treat the person, not just the circumstance.

Campus for Hope will proudly offer integrated wraparound services on campus. From behavioral health to basic needs, we’re providing the support necessary for long-term stability.

Let’s build a Nevada where no one has to choose between their health and a home. 🏠🩵
