Spoiler alert: Sherman won🥇a happy Tortoise Tuesday from our number 1 watermelon destroyer!

Sherman came to us around 6 years ago (it’s not his anniversary, we’re just reminiscing) through guardian surrender due to a lack of space.

Sherman is also easily the number 1 burrower at the sanctuary, so we have to accommodate for his digging needs. But when he’s not digging, you know what he’ll be doing 🍉

The always charming Bucky 🦃

Not pictured is his special lady Eartha Kitt (only kind of pictured behind him), both surrendered in 2022 due to their former guardian’s health issues. Bucky loves Eartha so much and can be seen never too far from her. He makes his presence known and is protective.

Providing a space to protect Bucky while he protects Eartha is a special thing. It makes all the hard work worth it because Bucky is an individual and a friend to us- not food, ever. All those like him are friends and are why we continue to be a sanctuary for them 🐔🐷🐮

Duck, duck, BINGO?!

Did you know, there is no way to know what you’ll win at bingo?

We let the 25 rubber duckies decide. Numbered 1-24, every game and raffle winner reaches in and pulls out their squeaky destiny, completely random every time until #25, the grand prize cover-all!

🦆 It takes a flock of volunteers gathering, arranging, decorating and taking over Tara’s dining room in a puddle of ribbons, boxes and baskets to ensure our prizes make a splash for weeks in advance!

We aren’t duckin’ around, all of our prizes are quack-celent!

🦆And we do it for moments like these, an edited magical memory from June 3rd, helping abandoned baby ducks take their first swim at the sanctuary! And you supporting us helps us support them and the other 170+ rescued animals here at the sanctuary.

🦆🐢🐓🦃THANKYOU!🐷🐮🐥🐑🪿

Hope to see you at bingo!
TONIGHT Thursday September 24th
