Tonight I hugged my kids longer, and stay up a little later to help their innocent minds process, as I tucked my son into bed tonight, his last questions were why? Why would someone do something like that? Why would he hurt and kill people? All I could say is that one bad choice at a time it became harder for him to see right from wrong. And eventually he acted in a very evil way. The world is full of disasters, terrorism, and hate. But it is also full of goodness, love and kindness. I pled with my children to be the good, be the light, choose to respond to terror with love an charity for those who are suffering. Tonight as we prayed for Las Vegas, it felt more urgent, and tangible than all the other nights we pray for the city we live in. I know God lives, And can heal our broken hearts.
