Tonight was one for the history books.
We gathered at “The House That Elvis Built”, the one and only International Showroom stage in Las Vegas at the current Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino where David Stanley serves as Ambassador, to celebrate America's 250th anniversary alongside the incredible sounds of Firefall, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Orleans.
David Stanley grew up alongside his step-brother during some of the most extraordinary years in music history. That closeness is why David created RORF to honor his brother Elvis in the hope of saving others from addiction, the very same challenges of addiction that haunted Elvis until his death.
His step-brother's love for this country was well known. During his 1974 concerts, spotlights would sweep across a massive American flag suspended above the stage. That flag is currently on display at Graceland as part of an exhibit honoring his connection to this country. Patriotism was part of that legacy, just as much as the music.
Tonight we are reminded why David founded RORF. He watched addiction take so much from someone he loved, and he turned that pain into purpose. David's message has always centered on triumph over adversity through faith. He believes that no matter how deep the struggle, faith can carry a person through it and turn even the darkest loss into something redemptive. Through RORF, David and our team are fighting for recovery, supporting those in the grip of addiction, and working to make sure fewer families experience that same loss.
If tonight's celebration moved you, if David's story resonates with you, or if you simply believe in second chances, please consider joining us in this mission. Your donation helps us carry forward a message of faith, hope, and recovery, one life at a time.
