Please join NVCCF in congratulating Jackelyn Hernandez on her new role as NVCCF’s Education Advocacy Supervisor, where she will lead the Brett Torino and NVCCF Education Services Program!
Jackie earned her bachelor’s degree from UNLV and was recognized on the Dean’s List throughout her entire college career. She also holds board certification from the American Academy of Special Education Professionals, with specialized expertise in advocacy in special education, dispute resolution, assessment, legal issues, and the core principles of special education advocacy.
Jackie has already made a meaningful impact as an NVCCF Case Manager, working closely with diagnosed children and their families to provide critical resources and support. She brings exceptional strengths to this role, including strong bilingual writing skills in English and Spanish, a deep understanding of children’s educational needs and behaviors, and, most importantly, a genuine passion for serving the families NVCCF supports. Compassionate, empathetic, and driven, Jackie truly considers this her dream job, and it shows in everything she does. In her new role, Jackie will provide bedside educational services at Summerlin Hospital, train NVCCF volunteers, facilitate 504 Plans and IEPs, coordinate online tutoring, and work directly with students at the Brett Torino Foundation Learning Pod. She will also lead our SEEK TEEN monthly activities, building meaningful connections and ensuring teens receive the educational support they need to succeed.
We are so proud to have Jackie in this leadership role and can’t wait to see the continued impact she will make in our community. Congratulations, Jackie!
Our heartfelt and deepest gratitude goes to Brett Torino and the Brett Torino Foundation for generously supporting this program.
