Three years of Winter Wellness with Bridging The Gap. 💜❄️
Looking back at these moments reminds us how powerful it is when community comes together with care, compassion, and purpose. Over the years, this event has created space for wellness, support, connection, education, and encouragement for individuals and families impacted by sickle cell disease. From shared resources and meaningful conversations to smiles, fellowship, and community love each year has helped us continue building a stronger support system for our Warriors and their families. ✨ SHINE THE LIGHT ON NURSE TAMARA! ✨

During Sickle Cell Awareness Month, Bridging the Gap Adult Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of Nevada would like to shine the light on a very special supporter, Nurse Tamara! ❤️💛💜

Nurse Tamara is special to our family because she was one of the nurses who cared for my son, Zavier, during several of his hospital stays at Summerlin Hospital. She didn’t just provide nursing care—she genuinely cared about him. She would always check on Zavier, make sure he was okay, and show him love and compassion during some very difficult moments. What makes her story so beautiful is that her love and concern didn’t end when Zavier left the hospital. Years later, that same heart of compassion has continued through her support of Bridging the Gap Adult Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of Nevada. Tamara, thank you for caring for my son, for checking on him, and for continuing to stand with our Sickle Cell community. Your journey from Zavier’s nurse to a supporter of BTG is a beautiful example of how one caring healthcare professional can make a lasting difference.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared, supported, and helped spread the word for our BTG Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross. ❤️🩸
In recognition of National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, this effort was about more than donating blood it was about standing with individuals and families impacted by sickle cell disease and helping create access to lifesaving support.
Every donor, volunteer, partner, and community member played a part in making a difference. Together, we continue to educate, empower, advocate, and transform lives.
