At the A Night of Second Chances gala, we paused to honor a man whose dedication to his own growth has been nothing short of remarkable. Demone Lewis, HOPE For Prisoners Alumni of the Year, has shown this community what it looks like to take a Second Chance seriously and never let go of it.

Completing his CDL and manual training with Ahern Advanced Career Training was a major milestone, but anyone who knows Demone's story knows that the real work happened long before any certification. It happened in the quiet moments of commitment, of choosing differently, of deciding that the life ahead of him was worth every sacrifice. That is the kind of resolve that cannot be taught. It can only be lived.

We are beyond proud of you, Demone. Thank you for letting HOPE For Prisoners be part of your story. πŸ’™

Reentry isn't a moment. It's a journey. At HOPE for Prisoners, we know that the days, weeks, and months after release are some of the hardest of a person's life. That's why our programs don't just open a door and step aside. We walk through it with them. From job training to mentorship to life skills, every resource we provide is rooted in one belief: people are worth investing in. Learn more about our mission and how you can get involved at www.hopeforprisoners.org.

Tonight we gather. Tonight we listen. Tonight, we believe in what is possible.

Tuesday Night Huddle Up kicks off at 6:00 PM PST at the Billy Walters Center for Second Chances, inside the Steve and Judi Siegel Auditorium. Every week, this room fills with people who know firsthand what it means to fight for a Second Chance, and their stories never get old.

There is always a seat at the table, whether you join us in person, via Zoom, or right here on HOPE For Prisoners Facebook Live. For more information, visit www.hopeforprisoners.org.

Once you choose HOPE, anything is possible. Those are not just words on a wall here. They are the foundation of everything we do and the story behind every single life we get to be part of.

Some people talk about change. Ralph is living it. A Vivid Vision is not a wish list. It is a declaration. It is what happens when someone has done the hard work of believing in themselves again, and Ralph made it clear that he has done that work. Every word he spoke was grounded in purpose, in gratitude, and in the kind of determination that does not quit. This is why HOPE For Prisoners shows up every single day. Moments like this are the whole point. We are incredibly proud of you, Ralph. The best chapter is just beginning.

Transformation doesn't stop when you walk across the graduation stage; it’s a lifelong journey. Ahead of this month's ceremony, 2018 graduate Tiffany Lizarraga shared a piece of her heart with us. She reminded us all that while the road before HOPE was filled with feeling lost and being incredibly hard on herself, a Second Chance allowed her true self to finally shine. Join us in celebrating Tiffany's journey and the incredible future ahead for all of our new graduates! πŸ‘‡

There is something that happens when the right words meet the right room at the right time. Joe Johnson Group brought that to last month's Graduation in a powerful way. He stood before our graduates at one of the most significant days of their lives and poured into them exactly what they needed to hear. That this day is not a finish line. It is a starting line. And everything they have fought for, endured, and overcome has been leading them right here to this moment and to everything that comes next.

There are people who talk about Second Chances and there are people who have lived them so fully that their entire life becomes the proof. Joshua Smith, Director of the Bureau of Prisons, is the latter. He stood in front of our community at A Night of Second Chances Gala last month and showed every single person in that room what HOPE looks like when you refuse to let your past define your future.
