"Tzu Ching" is Chinese for "compassionate youth", and we believe that anyone can bring out the kindness and compassion in their heart, regardless of their background. Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (Tzu Ching) is the collegiate organization that carries out the missions of the international Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation--charity, medicine, education, and humanitarian culture. UNLV Tzu Ching provides events and an opportunity for volunteer work within the local area that is rewarding, meaningful, and manageable during one's busy college life. HOW TO JOIN
There are no dues or membership fees. You are free to join at any time, even if you were not able to make it to orientation! All events will be posted so feel free to join us whenever you would like! Like our page and join our mailing list to receive our updates! However to earn the uniform, you must complete 20 hours of service. GLOBAL TZU CHI FOUNDATION
“Tzu Chi”, meaning “serving with compassion”, was established in 1966 by Master Cheng Yen, a Buddhist nun, on a mission of charity in Taiwan. For more than forty years, the foundation has expanded with branches throughout the world to keep contributing to better social and community services, medical care, education and humanism. Today, Tzu Chi has more than five million members of different religious and cultural backgrounds.
