What's next for the difference-makers at CS4C?

📢Co-founder, Joanne, is pivoting from Car Seats for Christy to Books by Jo, where she'll promote childhood literacy AND lifelong vehicle safety habits! She's also launched a blog for big people. Meet and follow her new FB page Books by Jo, catch her on Instagram and visit her new website (link in comments).

📢Co-founder Valjean, who has been doing double-duty volunteering with Make A Wish Nevada for years, will continue granting life-changing wishes with them!

📢Volunteer Paula supports many agencies, especially those dedicated to helping fur babies 🐾. She will continue to make a difference in their lives.

📢Many others will help out with events sponsored by their workplace that benefit a variety of needs in the community.

After we decided to wrap things up, the first people notified were Christy’s family. There’s truly no higher compliment than the thoughts they shared.

And now, with the final car seat giveaway complete and the last infant seats delivered to the well nurseries and local NICUs, we're crossing the finish line carrying these heartfelt messages from Christy's parents and brother, who were always supportive behind the scenes. 🧡

Going into the last seat giveaway this past weekend was a bit emotional for sure 😕 It’s always hard to predict what kind of turnout we’ll have, but we gladly plan, prepare and hope for the best 🤞

🚗 So, it was comforting to see cars lined up well before the 9:00 a.m. start time and watch as it continued to grow, keeping us all busy from start to finish!

🖍️Once we were up and running, Joanne and Joelle went car-to-car passing out crayons and activity books to patient little ones and to chat with their grownups as they waited in line. Attendees were asked how they had heard about the event.

🥹 That’s when they met Teresa, pictured here with Joanne. She happily told us that she’s been following Car Seats for Christy for at least 10 years. She recalled meeting Joanne at an event at the fire department years ago! In addition, she shared that in the past, we had provided her with a car seat for her son when he was little and that he’s now 15 years old!

What a special encounter it was and what a wonderful way to go out 🧡

☀️It was a beautiful morning and a wonderful day to leave one last set of footprints in the community 👣

The turnout was great with a never-ending line of cars full of happy little ones 👧🏻👦🏻🚗 🚙
