The Veteran Hunter The Veteran hunter is a non-profit organization healing Military Veterans through hunting, fishing an We are human beings and more importantly we are Veterans.

My name is Brian Wadtke; Veteran, avid outdoors-man, and founder of The Veteran Hunter. We are a group of Military Veterans with a strong passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. We are not perfect, nor politically correct, in fact we are far from it. The Veteran hunter is a non-profit organization aimed at bringing together Military Vets through the outdoor avenues of our beautiful country

in which we have all fought to defend. This is a platform where Veterans can connect, relate, follow, learn, and participate in the most primal and long lasting traditions known to man while also creating a chance to be part of another brotherhood and to be able to reestablish that support structure we as Veterans had in the military from both a virtual and physical aspect. My personal love and desire to hunt is deeply intertwined with my Military service and honestly, I’m not sure where I would be today without it. Right now as we speak, there are a multitude of Veterans today that are struggling with life after military service. Many are homeless, suffering from long term physical and/or emotional effects such as loss of limbs, Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Depression. Some are even contemplating, have attempted, or committed su***de. Hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors has proven to be an extremely therapeutic outlet for those struggling with these situations. It allows them to take in and enjoy what God has created and what they and all Veterans, have sacrificed, fought and died for over the course of history in order for us all to be able to enjoy the beauty and freedom of this country that we call home.
