His service was a lasting commitment to the Las Vegas community. We honor and remember Sergeant Douglas Michael King of the LVMPD. End of Watch: August 23, 2021.
For 17 years, Sergeant King proudly served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. His career was marked by a commitment to protecting and serving others, leaving a lasting impact on the community and fellow officers he served alongside.
Sergeant King died from complications after contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty. He was 35 years old and survived by his wife, three daughters, granddaughter, mother, father, grandmother, brother and sister.
Five years after his End of Watch, we continue to honor Sergeant King’s life, service and sacrifice. His dedication will never be forgotten, and his memory remains with the Las Vegas community he served.
