Summer 2011, 120 of the brightest 6-8th graders in Clark County School District, attended the GB Henderson Education Summer Enrichment Program to learn about ENERGY. This summer, 54 of the top students returned to partner with the Regional Transportation Commission and Outdoor Promotions to create this campaign. The campaign allows participating schools to create, design, and maintain a bus shelte
r close to their campus. Students of that school can also track their commute using our DTR tracking system and the school commutes the most using alternative methods will be recognized and rewarded at the end of the year. By participating in our campaign, schools can give their students a creative outlet which will raise camaraderie and social engagement between the school and the local community. Schools will also have the opportunity to decrease the amount of vehicles on the road as students will be encouraged to ride transit, walk, or ride their bike.
