A message from our Founder, Phyllis A. James:

June Beland understood something simple and powerful: women go further when we stand together.

As the Founder, President and CEO of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada, she spent her life building rooms where women could connect, be elevated, and be seen. She personally invited me to keynote the Chamber's 22nd Annual Conference, and that was June. She opened doors, then held them open so other women could walk through.

Her legacy lives on in every woman she believed in, mentored, and brought together. That work does not end with her.

My heartfelt condolences to the Beland family: Norman Sr., Norman Jr., and Marie. Rest peacefully, Mama June.

Can’t believe it’s already been one week since we wrapped WLC 2026! 💜

For 19 years, the Women’s Leadership Conference has created a space for leaders to keep learning, challenging themselves, building relationships, and strengthening the skills they carry back into their organizations and communities.

This year was no different, and you made it possible.

To every attendee who came ready to learn, every speaker who shared their expertise, every sponsor and partner who invested in our mission, and everyone who helped bring these two days to life, thank you.

WLC 2026 is officially in the books, but the work continues.

One of the biggest myths about leadership is that great leaders are simply born knowing how to lead.

If that were true, none of us would need education. None of us would need experience. None of us would need mentors. None of us would need opportunities to learn and grow.
