Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation (SNBRF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to the rescue of Beagles and education about responsible dog and puppy ownership. We provide rescue and adoption services primarily in Las Vegas, Henderson, and the rest of Clark County Nevada and find permanent homes for Beagles (beagle mixes, littles and hounds) who have been surrendered by their ow

ners or who have been abandoned or abused. We work with other rescues to save beagles from research facilities and puppy mills as well as hoarding, breeders and hunters who keep them in inhumane housing and without care. Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue does not house dogs and puppies in a shelter as in many rescue groups. Our dogs are cared for in healthy, safe, loving foster home environments.All of our Beagles are pre-screened for behavior, temperament, and health conditions prior to placement in a forever home. ADOPTION DONATIONS ARE BETWEEN $100 and $600.

Eleven years ago, a past adopter asked me to help her find a tiny Chihuahua. Within a single day, little Alex was rescued from the shelter. He was just 2 pounds at the time — tiny but mighty.His mom fell in love with him instantly. She patiently worked through his endless hu***ng phase, and despite all his classic Chihuahua quirks, Alex completely captured her heart.Unfortunately, six years later, his mom became ill and passed away. Her sister, who had also adopted from us, stepped in and promised to love and care for Alex for the rest of his life. She even gave him full access to the bed and covers — something the beagles weren’t allowed to have! Alex ruled the roost. He was full of personality, a little bossy, and had just the right amount of “piss and vinegar.” He lived with his family for another five years, reaching the ripe age of 15.In his final year, Alex battled recurrent pancreatitis. Each episode took a toll on his little body. This past weekend, he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. We are so very sorry for your loss. I imagine losing Alex felt like losing your sister all over again. We want to thank both families for giving Alex so much love and for allowing him to thrive and blossom. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, sweet Alex.
