We held our final meeting this year and invited former members. It was bittersweet.

Fellow Toastmasters and Prospects, it is with a heavy heart we inform you that our club is suspended. We all lead busy lives and our level of busy has lead us to realize we are not able to provide the attention and commitment members need to progress and meet their leadership and communication goals. As good listeners, we realized our mojo was off. What will we do? We will take this time to visit other clubs and renew ourselves. What will this mean? It could mean our members join other clubs or take a hiatus. It could mean our charter returns to Toastmasters International to reassign to fresh leadership. This club could rise from the ashes because our club name represents our city. It is also a good name for search engines to find. We hope it will rise again and become the great club it once was. For now, please reach out if you have questions. Go to Toastmasters.org and use the FIND A CLUB tool and find a club on the day of week and time of day that fits your schedule. Have you ever read a report at work or listened to a club speech, and at the end, had no idea what the writer or speaker was saying? We all have. When communicators do not know how to express themselves clearly and succinctly, everyone suffers.

Toastmasters is international? Yes! If I'm a member, can I attend any Toastmasters meeting? Yes, but it's polite and a good idea to connect with the club first. You never know, the schedule or location could change at the last minute. Why do most Toastmasters become Toastmasters? Well, it varies, but I think this video is the best answer!
