The Wounded Blue

The Wounded Blue Our mission is to improve the lives of injured and disabled Law Enforcement Officers & their families The core of The Wounded Blue is peer support.
(4)

We currently have a Peer Support Team of 31 volunteer team members made up of former and current officers who have themselves been injured. We also have a Spousal Peer Support Team as we believe the family unit is just as important! We offer peer support, advocate in areas of Worker's Comp, EEOC, assist with PSOB paperwork, legislation, facilitate therapists when necessary and assist with locating

resources for injured officers nationwide. We respond by phone, email, and boots on the ground to agencies when in need. We also offer teach and train. We believe healing comes not just from the physical scars, but focusing on those mental and emotional scars that many cannot see. Our motto is Never Forgotten, Never Alone. By reaching out to us, we want to be sure you do not feel alone in the process as many of us have! You are a part of our family!

The Wounded Blue mourns the loss of Reno Police Detective Thomas Lopey, a U.S. Army veteran, former National Guardsman, SWAT team member, detective, mentor, and respected leader who dedicated his life to serving others.

His loss is a heartbreaking reminder of why peer support matters. Behind every badge is a human being carrying stress, trauma, and pressure most will never see. Check on your people. Make the call. Send the text. You never know whose life may depend on it.

One call can change a life forever. But it cannot erase the courage it took to answer it.

BE INSPIRED by wounded officers who refuse to let injury be the end of their story.
