Rubies LV Providing resources and services for women and children who have been exploited and/or trafficked

10/05/2026

Thank you to ACAMS for the generous donation of items that will be used in RubiesLV self care kits for survivors. ❤️

When we come into contact with women who may need support, one of the first things we do is offer a self care kit. That small gesture helps us begin a conversation, assess immediate needs, and connect each person with resources and services tailored to her specific situation. When appropriate, that support can also extend to her immediate family so healing and stability can be addressed as a whole.

We were so grateful to see how many people stopped by our ACAMS booth to help assemble self care kits. Every kit made will go directly to a survivor and become part of a larger effort to provide practical support, connection, and resources when they are needed most.

Thank you, ACAMS, and thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by, learn more about our work, and help us prepare these kits. Your support will directly impact the women and families we serve.

RubiesLV is proud to be exhibiting at ACAMS 2026 in Las Vegas.

Human trafficking is not only a survivor advocacy issue. It is also connected to financial crime, money movement, and systems that can help identify exploitation and support accountability.

We’re looking forward to connecting with professionals from across the anti-financial crime community, sharing the survivor perspective, and building partnerships that strengthen prevention, awareness, and support.

She doesn’t need a savior. She needs support. ❤️

Survivors are not projects to fix. They are people with their own voices, choices, strengths, and stories.

Support means listening without judgment, respecting their decisions, connecting them with resources, and standing beside them as they rebuild on their own terms.

At RubiesLV, we believe in walking alongside survivors, not taking over their journey.

Support over saviorism. Always.

September is Su***de Prevention Month ❤️

Sometimes the people carrying the heaviest pain are the ones we least expect. This month is a reminder to check in, listen without judgment, and remind the people around us that they matter.

Your story is not over. There is hope, there is help, and you do not have to face the hardest moments alone.

At RubiesLV, we believe healing begins with compassion, connection, and support. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out.

“Why didn’t she just leave?”

Because leaving is rarely that simple.

Trauma bonds, financial dependence, threats, children, addiction, fear, and nowhere safe to go can all keep someone trapped in exploitation.

Instead of asking why someone stayed, ask what made leaving so difficult.

Survivors need compassion, safety, resources, and support, not judgment. ❤️

If you or someone you know needs support, reach out to RubiesLV at [email protected].

Demand drives exploitation.

When someone purchases another human being for s*x, there is a real person on the other side of that transaction. A person with a name, a family, a story, and a life that matters.

This is why we cannot talk about ending trafficking without talking about the demand that fuels it. Accountability matters.

At RubiesLV, we will continue advocating for survivors, educating our communities, and working toward a world where no human being is for sale. ❤️

Traffickers don’t introduce themselves as traffickers.

Grooming often begins with attention, affection, support, or someone who seems to understand exactly what you’re going through. Over time, trust can turn into isolation, manipulation, dependence, and control.

That’s why saying, “I would never fall for that,” misses the reality of how exploitation can happen.

Grooming can happen to anyone. Knowing the signs matters. ❤️

If you or someone you know needs support, reach out to us at [email protected].

Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. ❤️

Human trafficking doesn’t always look the way people expect. It happens in every community, affects people of all ages and backgrounds, and thrives in silence.

Today, we honor every survivor, remember those still trapped in exploitation, and recommit ourselves to being part of the solution.

You can make a difference:
❤️ Learn the signs.
🗣️ Speak up.
🤝 Support survivors.
✨ Share this post to help raise awareness.

Together, we can build a world where no one is bought or sold.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us at [email protected].

Two years ago, we asked our community to pray for Litzy Lara Banuelos, also known professionally as Emily Willis. Today, we continue to lift her and her family in prayer. ❤️

A recent $3 million settlement will help provide for Litzy’s lifelong care, but no amount of money can reverse the devastating brain injury she suffered or the lifelong impact it has had on her and those who love her.

Her story is also a reminder of an issue we witness every day. The commercial s*x industry and addiction are often deeply intertwined. Many individuals experience trauma, coercion, exploitation, and substance use simultaneously. Addiction is frequently used as a means of control, while others turn to substances as a way to cope with the trauma they have endured.

At RubiesLV, we believe every person deserves compassion, dignity, and the opportunity to heal.

Please join us in praying for Litzy, her family, and everyone impacted by exploitation and addiction. Pray for healing, strength, peace, and hope.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t suffer in silence. Whether you’re experiencing exploitation, addiction, or simply need someone to talk to, we are here to help.

We chose to use Litzy’s given name to honor the woman behind the public persona. While many knew her professionally as Emily Willis, we wanted to recognize her first as Litzy.

❤️ Redeemed. Restored. Rebuilding.
