🌟 Autism Awareness Month – Dedicated to My Grandson, Kelly 🌟
This month, my heart is full as I honor my grandson, Kelly. He's a beautiful soul who has expanded my understanding of love, patience, and presence in ways words can barely capture.
Kelly lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder—and through him, I’ve learned that autism is not something to be feared or misunderstood… it is something to be felt, respected, and embraced.
Autism teaches us that communication doesn’t always come in words, it comes in energy, in patterns, in silence, and in moments that require us to slow down and truly see. What may look different is not wrong...it is simply a different rhythm of being.
For those seeking to understand:
✨ Be patient—processing may take time
✨ Be observant—behavior is often communication
✨ Be gentle—the world can feel overwhelming
✨ Be open—connection may not look the way you expect
Kelly has shown me that love doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. It just needs to be consistent, compassionate, and present.
So this month, and every month, I choose awareness that leads to understanding, and understanding that leads to greater love.
💙 In honor of Kelly, and every individual living with autism—you are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply loved. 💙
