Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in military service.
Memorial Day is a day of gratitude, remembrance, and reflection on the sacrifices made for freedom and the lives forever changed by war.
Many in recovery understand loss, grief, trauma, and healing deeply—including veterans and families affected by service.
Today we especially honor: ❤️ Veterans in recovery
❤️ Families who lost loved ones
❤️ Those healing from visible and invisible wounds
❤️ All who continue choosing hope, healing, and service to others
At Lambda Alano Clubhouse, we believe community, compassion, and recovery help create peace not only within ourselves—but in the world around us.
May we continue striving toward a future where understanding replaces violence and humanity learns healthier ways to resolve conflict.

Lambda Alano Clubhouse is a safe and welcoming recovery community inclusive to our lgbtqia+ and transgender community. Paula Sadler our president will be donating a song and performance from her upcoming album unfinished business at 5:30 p.m.

Spring, Recovery, and New Life 💚

The first day of spring reminds us that renewal is part of life itself. The Spring Equinox marks a point of balance, and then the light increases. Across the world, spring has been celebrated as a season of hope, rebirth, and fresh beginnings.

That truth speaks deeply to recovery. In recovery, we learn that healing often begins quietly — one day at a time, one honest step at a time, one new morning at a time. As the season changes, many people feel the effects of increased light on mood, energy, and rhythm, which makes spring a powerful symbol for spiritual and emotional renewal.

A fitting Big Book line for this season is:

“We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.”

At Lambda Alano Clubhouse, spring reminds us that no life is beyond renewal. No winter lasts forever. We can begin again.

Affirmation:
I welcome new life, new strength, and new serenity. I spring forth in recovery, one day at a time.

🔥🐎 Recovery Through the Fire
The Fire Horse of 1966–1967 unfolded in a world of tension, protest, and upheaval.

War abroad.
Cultural unrest at home.
Generational conflict.

Movements for civil rights and social transformation.
It was a time of emotional intensity — much like early recovery can feel.

Now, 60 years later, that Fire Horse energy returns.
It begins on a Universal 2 Day — reminding us that fellowship stabilizes power.

2026 is a Year 1 — a new chapter.
Fire Horse in recovery means:

🔥 Breaking destructive cycles
🔥 Courage to change
🔥 Moving forward without fear
As the Big Book reminds us:

“The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution.”
And:
