We are just 5 short days from the annual Spring Jamboree Rock and Gem Show (May 2-3)!!! Now is the time to mark this event on your calendar and come see the great things offered at this years event. Take a minute and check out today’s featured photos!!! The show is in conjunction with the Boulder City Spring Jamboree located at Bicentennial Park. We are located in the climate controlled Recreation Center (900 Arizona St.) right next to the park and admission is FREE!!! Come see over 45 vendors with great items. Come check out the art, minerals, jewelry, fossils and more. Also this year, come check out the door prize offering this year (need not be present to win), Silent Auctions hourly during show hours, live demonstrations by club members on what we do, a club booth including cut geodes (you can cut your own outside at the entrance!!) for sale and a Kids Club area for the younger rock hounds. Check out these and previous weeks posted pictures of the great items offered by our vendors including from our local SNGMS club members, the western states as well as from all over the WORLD. Hello all. A couple of days ago we posted a shout-out to Nancy Eash-Heyl for her generous sponsorship of the upcoming Jamboree. Well it appears there was some confusion around some of the photos submitted and some of the work in the shout-out were actually by another local artist Adriane Wright. We apologize for the confusion on that. Here is Nancy's work. Nancy will be in Booth 14 at the Jamboree this weekend (May 2-3) in Boulder City in the Rec center at 900 Arizona St. Stop buy and say hi and admire her work as we do.

A special shout out to a valued member of the club that has become a sponsor of this year's Spring Jamboree Show. Nancy Eash-Heyl of Eash Family Treasures has been making jewelry and other creations for many years and is bringing her latest Treasures to this year's show. She will be in Booth 14 at the SNGMS Spring Jamboree taking place in Boulder City Nevada on May 2-3. The show is located in the Boulder City Rec hall directly next to the park at 900 Arizona Street. Congratulations to the winners of the weekly cabochon contest at the SNGMS General Meeting (February)! The theme this month was “Small size – length/width 5 mm or smaller” - and that’s quite a challenge! But the club was ready to deliver with some absolutely tiny cabochons! Hopefully you can see how small they are based on the sizes of the number on the cards.

1st place was number 9 by Evan Plumleigh
2nd place was number 2 by Patty Johnson
